Are you an experienced Machinist looking to step into teaching, training and developing the next generation of engineers?
Our client, a highly reputable engineering training company in Gloucester, is seeking a Machining Instructor to deliver high-quality practical training in manual turning / milling and CNC machining to Level 3 engineering apprentices.
No prior teaching experience is required – full training, mentoring and qualifications are provided.
You will deliver hands‑on training to apprentices in :
You will also assess learner work, mark knowledge questions, provide constructive feedback, and ensure apprentices develop safe, accurate and industry‑ready machining skills.
Starting salary £34,000, rising to £35,000 upon completion of AET (Instructor qualification – usually 6 months)
Salary increases to £38,000 when AVA (Assessor qualification – typically 9–12 months) is completed
Both teaching and assessing qualifications fully funded and supported in‑house
36.25‑hour week :
25 days annual leave + bank holidays + your birthday off
