Mechanical Fitter – Aerospace & Mechanical Sector

Location: Stroud

Salary: £30,000-£36,000 + Monthly Performance Bonus

Hours: Monday-Thursday 07:30-16:30 | Friday Early Finish

What You’ll Do

• Carry out sub‑assembly and final assembly work to a high standard.
• Assemble a range of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic components.
• Build complex fabricated assemblies from scratch using a variety of fitting skills.
• Ensure all work meets drawings, specifications, and supervisor instructions.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Perform additional duties to support the production team when required.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in a mechanical or engineering environment.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing and assembly drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to verify assemblies for correct alignment, dimensions, and overall quality.
• Experience in vehicle fitting/fabrication is an advantage.
• Background in Aerospace, Military, Marine, or related industries preferred.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive, team‑oriented attitude.
