Job Title: Contract Mechanical Fitter

Location: Loughborough. Must be flexible with start times

Hourly Rate: £19 per hour Umbrella

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems and machinery. Key responsibilities include reading and interpreting technical drawings, diagnosing mechanical faults, and performing preventive maintenance to ensure equipment functionality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and fit mechanical components and systems according to specifications.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in machinery.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize machinery performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
Required Skills
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience with tools and machinery relevant to mechanical fitting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
