Pump Installation & Service Engineer Nationwide | Full-time | Field-based

Join a market-leading UK engineering business.

A well-established and highly respected UK company specialising in the design, manufacture, installation and servicing of pumping equipment is looking to recruit a Pump Installation & Service Engineer to join its external site teams.

This is a varied, hands‑on role working alongside an Electrical Site Engineer, supporting installations, commissioning, servicing and breakdowns across customer sites nationwide. Expect a fast‑moving environment, technical variety, and genuine long‑term career potential.

The Role

You’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality engineering support on‑site while representing the business professionally at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Attending nationwide installations, servicing and breakdown call‑outs
  • Servicing, repairing and assembling pumps and pumping equipment
  • Supporting commissioning works alongside electrical engineers
  • Taking part in a standby rota covering weekends and bank holidays
  • Completing site reports after each visit and securing customer sign‑off
  • Following company procedures and Health & Safety standards
  • Acting as a positive ambassador for the business and its services
  • Maintaining company vehicle, tools and van stock
  • Identifying training and development requirements
  • Remaining flexible to meet site and business needs
What We’re Looking For
Essential
  • Mechanical qualification
  • Willingness to travel nationwide
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritise effectively
  • Team player with a proactive, can‑do attitude
  • Self‑motivated and keen to learn
Desirable
  • Experience in a similar field‑based or maintenance role
  • Previous experience working with pumps
  • Confined Space training
  • First Aid certification
  • CSCS card
  • SSSTS
  • Knowledge of the pumping or related engineering industry
