Qualifications

• Heavy Engine Assembly / Overhaul Experience is a must.
• Relevant experience in rail or automotive industry is preferred.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills are necessary.

• Stripping down of Mechanical Components (Engine Parts).
• Removal and refitting of gearboxes / transmissions and hydraulic systems.
• Working from written instructions to complete overhaul activities.

Education

NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds in motor repairs / mechanical fitting or equivalent

Overview

The client is looking for experienced mechanical fitter with knowledge of large diesel engines. The role involves dismantling and refurbishing engines and similar equipment used in the rail, marine, and industrial sectors. This is a workshop based role.

Responsibilities

• Stripping down of Mechanical Components (Engine Parts)


• Removal and refitting of gearboxes / transmissions and hydraulic systems


• Working from written instructions to complete overhaul activities

Candidate Requirements

• Ideally NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds in motor repairs / mechanical fitting or equivalent


• Experience considered
