Responsibilities

Skills

Experience within a medium to high volume manufacturing environment
Understanding of high-speed automated assembly processes

Education

Job description

Pertemps Swindon are currently looking for a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician for one of our prestigious clients in Swindon, SN3 area. This is 3 on 3 off shift 10:00-22:00.

Salary: £37000 plus 24% shift allowance (£8880) – Total salary: £45880 per annum.

Main duties
  • Providing Electrical/Mechanical support to all areas of manufacturing & their processes, whilst working in clean rooms, controlled areas adhering to GMP standards at all times.
  • To undertake scheduled PM activities using SAP to ensure the control of spare components & process history.
  • Support to achieve production output standards.
  • Maintain Production Machinery.
  • Plan Preventative maintenance programs.
  • Maintain machine spare parts.
  • Advise on technical issues.
  • Support CI activities.
  • Respond quickly to machine breakdowns.
  • Monitor machine performance.
  • Support training activities.
  • Pre-plan the maintenance activities.
  • Ensure sufficient spares are available.
  • Analyse & monitor breakdown frequencies.
  • Participate in training programs.
  • Participate in Risk Assessment programs.
Requirements
  • Experience within a medium to high volume manufacturing environment (Essential).
  • Experience within medical device or pharmaceutical industry (Desired).
  • Understanding of high-speed automated assembly processes (Essential).
  • Experience of problem solving and fault finding on manufacturing machines (Essential).
  • Ability to work unsupervised (Essential).
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization (Essential).
  • Computer literate – Microsoft Office.
  • Qualifications in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Tooling/Plastics processing, either through an apprenticeship or HND/Degree would be an advantage.

  • 17th Edition wiring or equivalent.
