A leading UK water utility company is seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Technician to join their clean water division in Oxford. In this role, you will carry out maintenance and repairs on equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and supporting environmental initiatives. A competitive salary up to £45,000 per annum is offered, along with additional earnings potential through overtime. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and mechanical qualifications, ensuring safe and effective operations.
We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical & Electrical Technician to join our team in our clean water Division to be based out of our Farmoor - Oxford - Water Treatment Works.
As a successful candidate, you will be using your mechanical & electrical knowledge as well as your experience to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify or repair as appropriate, mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment, in a safe efficient timely and effective manner with minimum supervision allowing us to ensure that all of our sites remain operational for the benefits of our customers.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to Thames Water's environmental impact, and you will be actively helping to reduce pollution from our sites.
Base Location: Farmoor - Oxford - OX2 9NS.
Working Pattern: 38 Hours Monday‑Friday 7:30 am – 3:36 pm. Plus, standby & overtime opportunities increase earnings by a potential £8,000‑£10,000.
All PPE and tools are provided.
You must have previous experience in an electrical apprenticeship, ONC/HNC in engineering, NVQ, or C&G level 3 in Electrical engineering, with an upskill in mechanical NVQ2/3 is crucial.
