  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of completed works, including usage of critical spares and stock.
  • Prepare, review, and implement MOPs, SOPs, EOPs, and relevant risk assessments.
  • Promote and uphold Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental (QHSE) standards through hazard reporting, near‑miss logs, and toolbox talks.
  • Undertake training aligned with the DCS training matrix and support a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Mentor and support technicians and apprentices, fostering a positive and growth‑focused team culture.
  • Champion the ongoing improvement of safe systems of work in line with all QHSE procedures and policies.
  • Supervise both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring timely, safe, and compliant delivery.
  • Participate in engineering Quality Assurance (QA) processes to verify the quality of completed tasks.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day performance of shift and day teams, including the coordination of holiday and sickness cover.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering/Technical Services Manager (ESM/TSM) to support wider operational needs.
  • Coordinate critical plant and equipment repairs, working closely with internal teams and subcontractors.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience in data centre or critical environment operations, or supervisory experience within Facilities Management (FM).
  • HNC/HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or completion of a relevant apprenticeship.
  • Certification in the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (current version).

  • Competent IT skills, with experience using maintenance management software and standard business systems.
  • Ability to remain calm and clear‑headed under pressure, especially in critical situations.
  • Flexible approach to work, including attending training (on‑site or off‑site, with overnight stays if necessary).
  • Capable of accurately following written and verbal instructions.
  • Professional, enthusiastic, and committed to maintaining consistently high standards.
