Job summary

A global technology leader located in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for designing and optimizing electro-mechanical products. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience in mechanical engineering and a relevant degree. This position offers the chance to mentor junior engineers and work on innovative projects within the Energy Utilities and Renewables industries, ensuring high-quality standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a mechanical engineering environment with a focus on product design and/or development.
• Comprehensive understanding of core mechanical engineering principles.
• Ability to design cost effective solutions from specifications against agreed budget and timescale.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test and evaluate mechanical designs for the Energy industry.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Ensure that products will perform consistently in specified operating environments.
