Overview
Mechanical/Hydraulic Assembly Technician to join a production team. Responsible for the assembly of mechanical and hydraulic equipment, including large steel fabrications and associated ancillary systems. Work to allocated tasks, ensuring high-quality, safe, and efficient assembly processes.
Responsibilities
- Assemble a range of mechanical and hydraulic components, including cylinders and operating systems, in line with engineering specifications and production plans.
- Work to allocated tasks as outlined in the Production MPS, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions to ensure accurate builds.
- Conduct quality checks during and after assembly to ensure products meet required standards and specifications.
- Handle large steel fabrications safely and effectively, following all health and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve technical issues and improve processes where required.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and operational condition.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in the mechanical/hydraulic assembly of industrial or heavy engineering equipment.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems, including cylinders, pumps, and operating mechanisms.
- Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications.
- Understanding of safe handling practices for large steel fabrications.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and quality
