A leading aviation company based in Luton is seeking an experienced Mechanic. This full-time position requires a recognized apprenticeship and proven work history in line maintenance. Responsibilities include routine and non-routine maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with safety standards and cleanliness in the work area. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK and experience with Airbus and Boeing aircraft is an asset.

Qualifications

  • Proven work history in a line maintenance environment.
  • Experience in completing wiring modifications on Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Complete routine and non-routine maintenance tasks as directed.
  • Observe and adhere to the company Tooling Policy.
  • Maintain awareness for Health and Safety and Human Factors.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed to the required standards.
  • Keep personal work area clean and tidy.
  • Notify the company of any significant findings.
  • Raise safety reports on identifying hazards or incidents.
  • Obtain and retain Customer Mechanic Authorisation.
  • Carry out other duties as requested.

Job Description

Role : Mechanic

Location : Luton

Hours : 40 per week : 554 (nights)

Are you an experienced Mechanic with a background on A320 family

Job Role

As a Mechanic you will be reporting to and working with the leading mechanic and certifier on the zone / aircraft as allocated.

Your Responsibilities will be :
  • Complete routine and non-routine maintenance tasks as directed using the latest approved documentation and procedures.
  • Observe and adhere to the company Tooling Policy at all times.
  • Maintain awareness and ensure best practices are observed for Health and Safety and Human Factors.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed to the required standards and in line with the MOE.
  • Ensure that they keep their personal work area hangar bays and facility clean and tidy at all times.
  • Notify the company of any significant findings as soon as possible.
  • Raise a safety report on identifying any hazard or the following of an incident.
  • Obtain and retain - Customer Mechanic Authorisation.
  • Carry out any other duties as reasonably requested
Who Were Looking For :
  • A recognised apprenticeship within the aircraft industry or similar.
  • Proven work history in a line maintenance environment
  • Experienced in completing wiring modifications primarily on the Airbus family of aircraft but Boeing aircraft would also be an asset.
  • You must have the right to work in the UK.
