Maths Teacher (0.5 Part-Time)

Location: Darlington
Contract: 0.5 Part-Time (Maternity Cover)
Key Stages: KS3-KS4
Start Date: January 2026

A Good secondary school in Darlington is seeking a dedicated and inspirational part-time Maths Teacher (0.5) to join their team from January as part of a maternity cover position. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on student progress across KS3 and KS4 while enjoying a balanced timetable in a supportive school environment.

Role Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, well-planned Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Teach a range of topics across KS3-KS4, maintaining high expectations for all learners.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages confidence and achievement.
  • Differentiate lessons effectively to the needs of varied learners.
  • Assess and track student progress, offering clear and constructive feedback.
  • Support students in preparing for internal assessments and GCSE examinations.
  • Contribute to departmental planning and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in relevant enrichment or intervention sessions where appropriate.
Requirements
