Overview

We are looking to take on a number of Experienced Maths Lecturers to begin work immediately! The successful Lecturers in Cardiff will have the opportunity to work with pupils 14+ in settings across Cardiff, where staff are committed to providing the very best education and opportunities for all learners. The setting is dedicated to creating a dynamic and inclusive school community, whilst also promoting unique and relevant skills to prepare students for the next steps in their careers and development.

Teaching Responsibilities

• Teach GCSE Maths and/or Functional Skills Maths delivering effective learning for students.
• Plan and prepare and deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment as required by your Line Manager.
• Develop and share resources for the course/subject including maintaining effective links across College for resources.
• Deliver enrichment and enhancement activities.
• Maintain comprehensive, up to date, student/course/subject records and provide information as requested.
• Be responsible for the appropriate administration of exam entries for the course/subject and liaise with external awarding bodies as appropriate.
• Ensure close liaison and good communications with other staff in matters concerning students.
• Use College systems to track and communicate student progress.
• There may be an opportunity to deliver other related subjects.

Student Responsibilities

• Value and support students to achieve their full potential.
• Effectively manage the behaviour of students.

Curriculum Development

• Engage in curriculum development and planning activities, individually and as a team.

Quality

• Participate in standardisation/verification and moderation as required.
• Ensure provision is aligned with best practice nationally.
