Do you have previous material scheduling experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Are you great with numbers and a whizz on Excel?!


Check out this fantastic 12 month fixed term contract with a growing manufacturing business in the Blackburn area. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure and experience in a global business, and there is real potential the role could become permanent at the end of the initial term.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule appropriate raw material deliveries to ensure availability for Production plan
  • Place and expedite purchase orders with international supplier base
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve issues/queries and manage vendor performance
  • Escalate late or "at risk" supply to Supply Chain Management
  • Liaise with warehouse teams to ensure adherence to inbound schedule and timely inbound processing
  • Work to KPIs such as material availability, supplier OTIF and inventory levels

Ideal skills and experience:

  • Min 1 years' material scheduling experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Good command of Microsoft Excel for data analysis (Intermediate level - . Pivot Tables, Vlookups)
  • Passion to develop a career within Supply Chain Management
  • Confident communicator, able to work collaboratively with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet a variety of critical deadlines
  • Driving licence and own vehicle - some local business travel will be required as part of the role (travel expenses covered)
