Citi is looking for intern analysts to join our Markets team in London. The Markets group provides solutions across asset classes and currencies for corporate, institutional, government, and individual clients in numerous countries. Our capabilities include underwriting, structuring, securitisation, sales and trading, and distribution across equities, commodities, credit, futures, and foreign exchange (FX).

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with peers on projects and in pitching trade ideas.
  • Collect and analyse macro market and industry-specific information to support your team.
  • Build and utilise your network by shadowing across desks and asset classes on the trading floor.
  • Assist with preparation of internal documentation and presentations for the team.
  • Engage in discussions with product heads across the business.
  • Learn how to price, manage risk, and execute trades across all asset classes with dedicated time and resources.
What we\'ll need from you

We\'re looking for the following:

  • You are currently enrolled in a university and expected to achieve or have achieved a 2:1 (or equivalent) at undergraduate level in any degree.
  • You are in your penultimate year of university.
  • You have a good understanding of finance and an interest in Markets.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Your knowledge of programming languages (VBA, Python) is highly desirable.
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail and solid planning and organizational abilities.
  • You are intellectually curious and proactively seek new ideas.
  • You are a self-starter who thrives independently and in a team, with a commitment to personal growth and mobility.
  • You have integrity and ethical decision-making.
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English.
