Job Details

This role is office-based a minimum of 3 days per week, in Harwell, Oxfordshire, UK.

In this role, you’ll work across our online marketplace channels to deliver growth, optimise performance and elevate operational excellence. You'll partner with key stakeholders across marketing, planning, customer service, product and leadership to execute strategy, launch new initiatives and ensure a seamless brand presence on all marketplace platforms.

Day to Day Responsibilities
  • Manage and own the Next PLC, Zalando and other marketplace accounts from collection sell-in to sell-out including forecasting, product flow and data analytics.
  • End to end ownership of the marketplace channel, partnering with all enablement teams across the business (Marketing, Finance, IT, Planning, Customer Services and Product)
  • Fully understand and drive the mechanics of on-site set up, from pre-season product listing, optimal representation of products and listings, seasonal tasks and trading.
  • Pre-season, work closely with Planning to agree assortment and line forecast linked to sales targets. In-season, continue to partner with Planning to monthly review forecast and assortment responding to trade.
  • Develop and own a long-term strategy for all marketplace activity ensuring Ariat is displayed in a premium way.
  • P&L Ownership- Full responsibility for the delivery of the marketplace P&L (£net revenue, GM% and Net Contribution%) together with working capital goals across the AE marketplace channel.
  • Vendor Management- Manage annual vendor negotiations with the Marketplace customers, ensuring strong commercial outcomes for the brand.
  • Conversion & Content Excellence- Drive conversion rate optimisation, SEO, product content and listing quality to maximise visibility and sales.
  • Marketing – Work closely with the marketing team to align on asset requirements, campaign opportunities with planned and agreed budgets, feedback and optimise to achieve profitable growth.
  • Strategic Growth- Support EMEA expansion into new markets and platforms.
  • Stakeholder Management– Given the strategic priority of the channel, the role will require weekly reviews with the key members of the exec team.
  • Reporting- Share weekly updates to key business stakeholders, conduct monthly and quarterly reviews with deep insights on actions to grow the business.
  • Responsible for market analysis of respective area, to report to the B2B Sales Director. Ensure that all reporting and necessary administration is completed in a professional and timely manner.
  • Form a close working relationship with the Company management team to ensure a good understanding of business and support business initiatives.
  • Any other ad hoc duties as required.
Key Technical & Commercial Requirements
  • Marketplace Expertise: Deep understanding of marketplace algorithms, listing compliance, chargeback prevention, and fulfilment standards.
  • Data & Forecasting Skills: Advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas), experience with BI tools (eg Power BI, Tableau) and strong analytical ability to forecast demand and monitor sales performance.
  • P&L Management: Proven track record of building and managing detailed P&L statements for marketplace channels.
  • Content & SEO Knowledge: Familiar with marketplace-specific SEO and content optimisation to improve discoverability and conversion.
  • Ad & Campaign Management: Experience with marketplace advertising tools (sponsored listings, performance media) and ROAS optimisation.
  • Feed & Inventory Management: Experience with PIM/ERP systems or feed management platforms (e.g., ChannelAdvisor, Lengow) to ensure data accuracy and availability.
  • Commercial Acumen: Skilled negotiator with experience in vendor agreements, trade terms, and promotional planning.
