Job description
Marketing Manager | 12-Month Fixed Term Contract

Are you a creative, curious, commercially‑savvy marketer ready to take on a role with real scale, impact and national visibility? If you love working at pace, bringing ideas to life, and shaping customer experiences across both retail and catering – this is the one.

We’re growing our Instore Marketing team and looking for a brilliant marketer to lead the marketing, communications and campaign delivery across our Instore contract – one of the largest and most exciting partnerships in the Compass portfolio. On top of that, you'll play a key role in mobilising a brand new, high‑profile contract with one of the UK’s biggest supermarkets. Think national reach, huge audiences, and the chance to build something exceptional from day one.

This is marketing with purpose, personality and plenty of room to make your mark.

What You’ll Do

In this unique cross‑sector role, you’ll bring the Instore customer experience to life through brilliant, insight‑driven campaigns.

You’ll:

  • Own and deliver our B2C marketing strategy across Asda Instore
  • Shape compelling content for PR, social and trade press – including our Instore LinkedIn presence
  • Lead creative campaign development (seasonal, promotional and brand‑led)
  • Bring our offers to life through photo + video shoots with our Inside Sales & Growth teams
  • Develop B2B sales tools including brochures, awards entries and white papers
  • Manage design, planning and branding for new unit openings and refurbishments
  • Be the brand guardian for all Instore formats
  • Work with our agencies to deliver exciting, high‑quality creative work
  • Partner with Finance to measure impact and build strong commercial cases
  • Lead the creation of simple, effective operator playbooks to ensure flawless onsite execution

You’ll work hand‑in‑hand with operations, culinary, menu development, growth, digital and our wider marketing team to drive growth, awareness and customer satisfaction. No two days will look the same.

Why This Role Is Exciting
  • You’ll lead marketing for one of Compass’s biggest brands – with huge visibility internally and externally
  • You’ll help mobilise an exciting, newly awarded national contract with a major UK supermarket
  • You’ll shape customer experiences across retail AND catering
  • You’ll have genuine space to innovate, test, measure and grow
  • You’ll join a passionate, supportive, fast‑paced marketing team who love what they do

If you enjoy autonomy, thrive on variety, and want to deliver memorable brand moments in a sector where community and experience truly matter — you’ll love it here.

What You’ll Bring
  • A marketing qualification or relevant degree
  • 5+ years’ experience in a marketing role
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication
  • A collaborative, can‑do, self‑starting approach
  • Experience managing creative agencies and briefing in campaigns
  • Commercial awareness and strong analytical skills
  • Comfort in a fast‑paced environment with multiple projects on the go
  • Digital experience (social, photography, videography) is a big plus
  • Full UK driving licence – some travel required
