Metro Rod works with the likes of Equans, Amey, Aldi, Mitie, Greggs, McDonald’s, Wetherspoons and many more in the FM, Social Housing, Property Management, Retail, Industrial and Leisure sectors. Founded in 1983, Metro Rod and its sister company Metro Plumb are leading providers of drain clearance and maintenance services. The brands are part of the Franchise Brands group, which also includes Willow Pumps and Filta – two expanding businesses focused on sewage pumps and commercial kitchen solutions. Together, the brands provide a complete one‑stop shop for keeping water and waste flowing.

About This Role

Are you a digital‑savvy marketer who’s constantly ahead of the trends? Do you get a buzz from creating thumb‑stopping social content, optimising paid ads, and bringing bold ideas to life across multiple brands?

We’re looking for a high‑energy, self‑starting Marketing Executive to join our growing in‑house team. Supporting four established brands – Metro Rod, Metro Plumb, Willow Pumps and Filta – you will play a hands‑on role driving engagement, leads and brand impact across the full marketing mix, with a strong focus on social media and paid advertising (Meta & LinkedIn).

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and optimise social media activity across Meta and LinkedIn
  • Manage and optimise paid social campaigns, reporting on performance and insights
  • Use AI tools to refine targeting, creativity and performance across all campaigns
  • Assist with multi‑channel campaign delivery across PPC, SEO, email and content
  • Produce compelling content across the full marketing mix – email campaigns, brochures, case studies, videos, event assets and more
  • Tailor messaging and creative style to suit different brands, audiences and channels
  • Review website and campaign analytics to support continuous improvement
  • Liaise with third‑party agencies across digital disciplines
  • Provide marketing support to our franchisees across the UK, including occasional travel
  • Work closely with the Group Marketing Manager and agency partners
  • Support sister brands with their marketing activity as needed
What do we look for?
  • 2‑3 years’ experience in a marketing assistant/coordinator role
  • A degree or apprenticeship in marketing is preferential
  • Strong understanding of social media, digital marketing and paid ads
  • Confident in analysing data and reporting performance
  • Interest in using AI technology to improve campaign efficiency and results
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work at pace
  • Strong communication skills and a self‑motivated, proactive approach
  • Familiarity with WordPress, Google Analytics, Meta Ads
