A government agency in the United Kingdom seeks dedicated individuals to operate in their Rescue Coordination Centres. As the first point of contact, you will coordinate responses to emergencies and work closely with emergency services to ensure effective support for the public. Strong communication and adherence to strict procedures are essential for this critical role, where you will handle distress calls and assist those in need, ensuring all actions are accurately recorded and managed.
You will be operating through the phones, radios and various other systems in one of our Rescue Coordination Centres, so whilst you won’t be out at sea, that doesn’t make what you’re dealing with any less real.
You will be the first point of contact for people who need our help. This could range from a call that someone appears in distress in the waters and needs help, through to a ship that requires assistance, sometimes with life‑changing consequences to everything in between.
For further information on the role, please read the role profile. Please note that the role profile is for information purposes only – whilst all elements are relevant to the role, they may not all be assessed during the recruitment process. This job advert will detail exactly what will be assessed during the recruitment process.
