About the Role:

In this strategic and technically-focused position, you will provide specialist advice and guidance to the Autonomy sector, help shape and deliver cutting-edge projects, and support the advancement of marine autonomy technologies.

  • Drive research and development in autonomous systems design and operation

  • Provide technology assurance to developers of marine autonomous systems
Key Requirements:
  • Degree (or equivalent) in a technical, mathematical, or scientific discipline
  • Proven track record in the design and deployment of autonomous systems (in industry or academia)
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape for Maritime Autonomous Systems (MAS) and Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS)
  • Experience in a management, strategic consultancy, or academic role
  • Knowledge of oceanographic research or environmental science
  • Understanding of cyber security, data architecture, GIS, and AI methods such as machine learning and evolutionary algorithms (desirable)
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
