In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Developing and maintaining of in‑house software tools to assist various aspects of manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborating with manufacturing, engineering, and IT teams to capture requirements and provide effective software solutions.
  • Delivering software and hardware integration with existing manufacturing equipment and systems.
  • Contributing to the design and deployment of new software applications for manufacturing needs.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation for software tools, including user manuals and technical guides’, managing version control and updates for software tools in line with industry standard methodologies or internal processes.
  • Collaborating with external vendors and consultants to improve in‑house software capabilities.
  • Supporting the scalability and reliability of software tools and integrated hardware to enable future growth.
  • Supporting efforts to automate data collection and reporting for real‑time monitoring and decision‑making.
  • Participating in multi‑functional project teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and new product introductions.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Software, or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of practical software development experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment, with a focus on supporting production systems, automation, or industrial processes.
  • Experience in programming languages such as Python or similar, software development tools and environments, such as Visual Studio, or similar, and version control systems such as Git or SVN;
  • Practical experience with SQL Server for querying, managing, and analysing structured data, including designing and optimizing stored procedures, views, and reports to support manufacturing operations;
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and operations, including automation and production workflows
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques, including statistical analysis with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to tackle software issues
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to optimally work with multi‑functional teams, including IT, engineering, and production
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • Previous exposure to Emerson products and/or understanding/experience of New Product Development (NPD) lifecycle
  • Familiarity with ERP and PLM systems (JDE/Enovia/Oracle preferred)
  • Project management skills or experience working in project teams, handling timelines, and delivering results
  • Ability to build and update user guides and standard operating procedures
  • Knowledge of software architecture and design patterns for scalable and maintainable software
  • Practical knowledge of Microsoft Power Automate, experience with Agile development methodologies and awareness of cybersecurity principles related to manufacturing systems and software;
  • Electronics, Electronic Systems and Embedded Firmware working knowledge
