Manufacturing Project Engineer

  • Job Type: 2 Year FTC

Reed Engineer are working with a successful global company who need someone to join their Production Engineering team as a Manufacturing Project Engineer. This role is crucial in maintaining compliant operations within their manufacturing and packaging facilities, ensuring all activities align with their Quality System and industry standards.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide engineering technical expertise to support project activities, ensuring compliance with good manufacturing practice and good engineering practice.
  • Lead small engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives, managing both internal and external engineering resources.
  • Deliver improvements to engineering systems to enhance equipment reliability and availability.
  • Resolve complex technical issues, providing robust engineering solutions.
  • Coordinate project planning and risk mitigation for assigned projects.
  • Manage external contractors, ensuring high standards of work and safety are maintained.
  • Support commissioning, qualification, and validation activities within the production facility.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Time-served apprenticeship, including City & Guilds &/or NVQ 3 - 4 qualifications in an appropriate engineering.
  • Experience managing building services projects within the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
  • Formal project management training or qualifications are preferred but not essential.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplined team.
  • Developed problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Resilient and adaptable, with a focus on continuous self-development and delivering high-quality work.
