Responsibilities
- Join team meetings, workshops, and practical training sessions.
- Work across different departments—Production, Logistics, Purchasing—to see how everything fits together.
- Help improve product designs and assemblies.
- Use CAD software to create and develop engineering ideas.
- Research new technologies that could make our manufacturing even better.
- Take part in New Product Introduction projects.
- Learn all about health & safety.
- Strengthen your critical thinking.
- Keep a diary of what you’ve learned and the projects you’ve worked on.
- Build great relationships with engineers and technicians.
- Get feedback, share your ideas, and contribute to improvements.
- Gain confidence and experience that will set you up for your future career.
- Attend college one day a week to gain your engineering qualifications.
Qualifications
- A genuine interest in Engineering & Manufacturing.
- Good time management and willingness to learn.
- Problem‑solving skills and a positive mindset.
- Computer skills (CAD experience is a bonus).
- Able to ask questions, get involved, and work well with others.
- GCSE English – Grade 4/C or above.
- GCSE Maths – Grade 4/C or above.
- Technology subject – Grade 4/C or above (Engineering‑related preferred).
