Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Manager - Compliance Policy & Regulatory Engagement Lead in Daliburgh, Scotland. Qualifications

  • Strong technical knowledge of AML/CFT/CPF legislation.
  • Experience in regulatory relationship management.
  • Experience as an MLRO or in a financial crime role is advantageous.

Manager - Compliance Policy & Regulatory Engagement Lead

Job Ref: LF40592

This senior compliance role offers the chance to take ownership of policy and regulatory engagement within a leading professional services environment. It's a position for someone who thrives on responsibility, leading a team while driving forward the firm's compliance framework and maintaining constructive relationships with regulators across the Channel Islands.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Preparing, reviewing, and submitting reports to regulators in line with guidance.
  • Managing correspondence with regulators, coordinating visits, and ensuring timely payments of fees.
  • Responding to consultation papers and presenting reports to committees as required.
  • Leading preparation of the Business Risk Assessment and aligning compliance monitoring with it.
  • Overseeing updates to policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with AML/CFT/CPF legislation.
  • Attending regulatory and industry events, providing feedback to the business.
  • Supporting remediation projects and training delivery across the firm.
  • Managing compliance reporting, data analytics, and use of technology to enhance frameworks.
  • Leading and mentoring compliance staff, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a professional qualification such as ACCA, ICAEW, or ICA Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance. They will have strong technical knowledge of AML/CFT/CPF legislation, compliance monitoring, and regulatory frameworks. They will demonstrate excellent leadership skills, the ability to manage regulatory relationships, and the confidence to develop practical compliance solutions. Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical thinking, and a collaborative approach are essential. Experience as an MLRO, deputy MLRO, or in a financial crime role would be advantageous.
