Job summary

A reputable accountancy firm located near Cirencester is seeking a Management Accountant to support various clients with ongoing financial accounts, tax computations, and compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing quarterly management accounts and will have the chance to progress into senior management roles. This position provides a competitive salary of £35,000 per annum along with benefits including healthcare, pension, and flexible working options.

Qualifications

  • ACCA qualification or equivalent required.

  • Preparation of ongoing monthly and quarterly management accounts for clients.
  • Preparation of draft year-end statutory accounts for review.
  • Corporate tax support and assisting with filings.
  • Preparation and review of VAT returns.
  • Ensuring accuracy and compliance of management accounts.

Job description

Our excellent accountancy client local to Cirencester is currently looking for a Management Accountant to join their friendly team on a permanent basis as they experience growth. The company provides regular accounting, monthly accounting, payroll, and tax services to a variety of clients from small sole traders through to international companies - with your role mainly supporting the latter.

This role requires a solid knowledge of management. In return you will have the opportunity progress your career into senior management, potentially through to board level as this company grows and expands their reach.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation of ongoing monthly and quarterly management accounts for clients, including variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, KPIs, and cashflow reporting.
  • Preparation of draft year-end statutory accounts (non-audit) for review, including all reconciliations.
  • Corporate tax support, including preparing corporation tax computations and assisting with CT600 filings.
  • Preparation and review of VAT returns.
  • Review of management and statutory accounts, ensuring accuracy and UK compliance.
  • Providing technical accounting support to colleagues and internal contacts.
  • Regular communication with clients via email, telephone, and occasional site visits, ensuring strong ongoing relationships.
  • Project assistance in-office, and ad hoc supporting work including preparation of traditional accounts (ie incomplete records/"box" jobs).
Key Attributes
  • Previous accounts experience – either in-house, or practice side
  • ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification
  • Friendly, team player
  • Computer literate with good Excel skills
Hours

Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm (part time 2/3/4 days per week may be available too)

Salary

£35,000 per annum + benefits including:
