• Experience with CIS and reverse VAT is ideal but not essential.
• Ability to get involved in system changes and process improvements.

• Prepare monthly management accounts and support group reporting.
• Produce detailed OPEX analysis and assist with variance & KPI reporting.
• Perform daily and monthly cash flow forecasting.
• Support year-end audit and liaise with external stakeholders.
• Manage the accounts payable function end to end.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and assist with tax compliance.
• Help implement a new finance system and improve processes.

Job Title: Management Accountant
Location: Warrington | Office-Based
£40,000 per annum

Looking for a role where your day-to-day really matters — and your ideas actually go somewhere? We’re partnering with a growing, well‑invested business in Warrington that’s undergoing exciting change, including a new finance system implementation. They’re looking for a Management Accountant who’s confident in the core responsibilities, strong on the detail, and happy to get hands‑on across the wider finance function.

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll play a key role in ensuring the finance function runs smoothly, while also helping the business move forward with process improvements and system upgrades. It’s a great mix of core reporting, compliance and commercial exposure.

• Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting group reporting
• Producing detailed OPEX analysis and assisting with variance & KPI reporting
• Performing daily and monthly cash flow forecasting
• Supporting the year‑end audit and liaising with external stakeholders
• Managing the accounts payable function end to end
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns and assisting with tax compliance
• Supporting or leading on CIS and reverse VAT processes (training can be provided)
• Helping implement a new finance system and improving existing processes
• Working closely with the Financial Controller on ad‑hoc projects
• Building relationships across the business and supporting continuous improvement

You might be fully qualified, part‑qualified or qualified by experience — but what matters most is your ability to confidently own core accounting responsibilities and get involved across the function.

You’ll need:

• Experience in management accounting and monthly reporting
• Strong understanding of accounts payable, VAT, and tax returns
• Ideally, exposure to CIS and reverse VAT (or willingness to learn)
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• A proactive mindset — keen to spot and solve problems
• Confidence to get involved in system change and process improvement
• A collaborative approach — you’ll be part of a small, supportive team
