We're looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join our Integrated Water Services (Mechanical & Electrical) Finance team. This is a key role, reporting directly to the Finance Manager. Responsibilities
- Implementing and maintaining financial control
- Regular communication with all levels of management across the business
- Knowledge of accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, posting journals and carrying out monthly project reviews
- An understanding of cost management accounting ensuring controls and processes are being adhered to as well as improved where possible
- Preparing all levels of month-end reporting packs in a timely and accurate manner
- Supporting on a variety of other financial reporting and analysis tasks as needed to fulfil company and group requirements
- Supporting the Statutory accounting and reporting process carried out through Group Finance, including the external audit of the IWS M&E business
- As the role is within a small team, there will be a requirement to support day-to-day financial processing
- Qualified in CIMA or ACCA, with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines. Attention to detail is a must, given the fast-paced environment of the business
- Good communication, analytical and presentation skills. Strong IT skills in Excel and other Microsoft packages
- The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the water industry, but this is not essential
- Possessing a strong commercial background, you will be able to present and communicate complex financial information in a clear way to Senior Managers and the Exec team
- To succeed, you will need to be a real team player with a "can do" attitude as well as upholding attributes of honesty, integrity and discretion
- Excellent attention to detail as well as the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
