Overview

Management Accountant | £38,000 - £45,000 DOE | Accrington | High-growth business | Exceptional mentorship and progression

Axon Moore have exclusively partnered with a high-growth manufacturing business based in Accrington in their search for an experienced and proactive Part Qualified Management Accountant to join their current finance function.

Working directly with the Finance Director, you will look after the company management accounts and be involved with the budgeting and forecasting process. The role offers internal progression with a chance to grow out the finance team in the future.

The business will consider both part-qualified or qualified ACCA/CIMA candidates with industry experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts, i.e. journals, accruals, prepayments
• Ensure balance sheets and cashflows are accurate and reconciled
• Year end audit support
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
• Variance analysis against budgets and forecasts
• Maintenance of fixed asset register
• Take ownership of cash flow management
• Implementation of new processes and controls to boost efficiency
• Ad-hoc duties and projects

Required Experience and Skills

• Previous management accounts experience
• Part Qualified or Qualified ACCA/CIMA
• Excellent IT and MS Excel skills
• Great attention to detail
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organisational and multi-tasking abilities
