Utilities Engineer / Maintenance Technician

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Utilities Engineer to join a dynamic manufacturing environment in Manchester. The role involves both reactive and planned maintenance across a range of site utilities and engineering systems, working closely with operations to ensure production demands are consistently met and downtime is minimised.

This role would be ideal for a qualified engineer or technician with a background in facilities or utilities maintenance within an industrial or FMCG setting. If you\'re someone who thrives on problem-solving, works well independently and in a team, and values a proactive approach to health, safety, and compliance, this could be a perfect fit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide reactive support and planned maintenance across steam, air, water, and chemical systems.
  • Monitor and maintain utility service levels to support site production.
  • Respond to breakdowns and emergencies, including participation in on-call rota after training.
  • Carry out fault finding, inspections, and installations in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Support environmental compliance through regular monitoring and reporting.
