Overview

AA Euro Group has been retained by its client to recruit a Mechanical Technician for our Waste to Energy (WtE) plant in Slough.

Working in our O&M (Operation and Maintenance) team, the Mechanical Engineering team, perform skilled mechanical work in support of the overall facility's operation and in maintaining operation of the facility in compliance with established production schedules and plant output requirements. You will;

Responsibilities
  • Performa wide variety of mechanical repairs on all plant process systems and equipment, plans details of assigned jobs
  • Inspects and lubricates all plant equipment routinely and makes necessary adjustments to ensure that equipment is operating efficiently
  • Conduct Risk identification/analysis/assessments
  • Gives work direction and instruction to other team members
  • Attend HSE Inspections, audits, assessments, and meetings, reports promptly any HSE infringements
Qualifications
  • Recognised engineering apprenticeship,HNC/D qualification in engineering desirable
  • Responsibilities in maintenance or engineering role in a 24/7 heavy process environment involving gearboxes, conveyors, steam raising plant, valves, rotating plant and hydraulic systems
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • Team leader skills, fault diagnosis and problem solving, good at planning and management, safety focus
  • Excellent communication (read, write and verbal) skills in English Language
