We are currently recruiting for a Junior Maintenance Technician to join a leading manufacturer of industrial paints based in Redditch.

This entry-level role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with engines, machinery, or mechanical projects in their spare time. It's a fantastic opportunity to train through a full apprenticeship, gain hands-on experience, and build a long-term career with a well-established and respected company.

Duties will include:
  • Assist in routine maintenance tasks including basic repairs, inspections, and equipment checks.
  • Support senior technicians with diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical or structural issues.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and help maintain equipment in safe operating conditions.
  • Document maintenance activities, equipment issues, and parts used.
  • Maintain tools, workshop areas, and storage spaces in an organised manner.
  • Learn to use and care for various hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Core Competencies:
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or building systems.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance
  • Working knowledge of tools
  • Problem solving skills
  • Manual Dexterity and physical strength to handle tools, carry out repairs and installations.
  • Good IT skills and able to use maintenance related software such as CMMS.
