The Maintenance Tech is responsible for mechanical service calls and in-house repairs throughout facility and grounds. With some supervision will perform work in more than one of the maintenance trades including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and painting. Working with contractors.
Pay: $42/HR

Purpose Statement
- Responsible for mechanical service calls and in-house repairs throughout facility and grounds. With some supervision will perform work in more than one of the maintenance trades including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and painting. Working with contractors.
Responsibilities
- Performs building maintenance as required, i.e. painting, plumbing repairs, etc.
- Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on facilities equipment, i.e. air compressor, HVAC system, etc.
- Will work from rough sketches and drawings.
- Oversee contract work.
- Maintain and update maintenance records, logs, and documentation in accordance with ISO, GMP, and company policies.
- Respond to facility alarms, excursions, and emergency situations, ensuring systems return to operational standards quickly. Being able to be on call and work after hours.
- Support cleanroom environmental controls, including pressure differentials, temperature, humidity, and particle monitoring.
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to support cleanroom operations and continuous improvement.
- Follow all cleanroom contamination control procedures, including proper gowning, sanitization, and cleaning protocols.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and company EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) programs.

Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in Facilities Technician or equivalent related functions.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, filtration systems, and building utilities.
- Basic understanding of electrical, fire alarm systems and control systems.
- Familiarity with ISO 14644 cleanroom classifications and GMP regulations (preferred).
- Ability to follow SOPs and detailed maintenance procedures.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, test instruments, and maintenance equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail, with strong written and verbal.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, HVAC, or cleanroom environment (manufacturing, pharma, biotech, or semiconductor experience preferred).
- Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and preventive maintenance programs a plus.
- OSHA safety training (Lockout/Tagout, confined space, PPE) preferred, complete knowledge of the job. Applies thorough knowledge of business concepts, procedures and practices, and a complete understanding of fundamentals in a functional area, strong knowledge of HVAC system and working knowledge of other related disciplines.
