Job description

Shape the future of sustainable food manufacturing — one process at a time.

If you're the kind of engineer who loves improving things - not just fixing them - this might be right up your alley.

If you're looking to jump into a new role, with exciting projects then this Maintenance Process Manager role could be for you.....

If you can blend sharp technical expertise with the ability to coach, mentor, and lead others. Someone who knows their way around modern manufacturing tech, but also knows how to bring people along for the ride.

You'll manage and develop a team of process engineers, drive improvement projects, and make sure our processes are as efficient, safe, and sustainable as they can be. From evaluating new technology to supporting major capital projects, you'll have a real hand in shaping how we work today — and how we'll work tomorrow.

What you'll be doing
  • Leading process engineering and continuous improvement activities across the site.
  • Coaching and mentoring engineers and apprentices to help them reach their full potential.
  • Managing process maintenance and reliability to keep performance at its best.
  • Developing and implementing new technologies, diagnostic tools and data systems to drive smarter decisions.
  • Supporting and delivering capital projects, from specification to execution.
  • Championing safety, sustainability and best practice in everything you do.
What we're looking for
You'll need:
  • An apprenticeship or equivalent training in multiple engineering disciplines (ideally automation and control).
  • A higher-level qualification in engineering (HND or equivalent degree).
  • Proven experience leading or managing small engineering teams.
  • Experience working with automated systems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong technical understanding of process improvement, asset care and reliability.
  • Confident fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills — ideally with experience in steam boilers and systems.
  • The ability to coach, mentor and develop others.
It'd be great if you also have:
  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge of Reliability‑Centred Maintenance (RCM).
  • BOAS training.
  • Leadership qualifications such as ILM Level 3 or equivalent.
Why you'll love it here

For over 50 years, this business have been proving that doing things the right way - for people, planet and product - is the only way that really works. When you join us, you're not just another employee; you're a co‑owner. Your ideas matter. Your contribution counts.

They make sure you're looked after too, with:

  • 22 days holiday (rising with service)
  • A non‑contributory pension scheme
  • Co‑owner business performance bonus
  • Life cover and healthcare cashback plan
  • Cycle to work scheme and free parking
  • Subsidised products and services (you'll never look at yogurt the same way again)
  • Preferential partner discounts

They invest in our people, our processes, and our planet — and we're just getting started.

Sound like your kind of challenge? Then come help them lead the next chapter of British food manufacturing - and make a genuine impact along the way
