Job description

Synergi are recruiting for a Maintenance Planner to join a leading FMCG manufacturing business. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the production facility.

The Role

As the Maintenance Planner, you’ll be responsible for the effective planning, coordination, and delivery of maintenance activities across the site. You’ll work closely with engineering and operations teams to schedule maintenance tasks, manage work orders, and help keep production running safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and schedule daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks
  • Scope and plan emergency and non-emergency work orders
  • Manage the maintenance work backlog
  • Order and assemble spare parts, materials, and tools
  • Maintain maintenance databases and stock control systems
  • Prepare and issue planned work packages and permits to work
  • Review contractor RAMS and coordinate external support
  • Assess completed work orders for follow-up actions
About You

We’re looking for a strong organiser and communicator who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment and thrives on keeping things running smoothly.

You will have:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • High attention to detail when reviewing reports and documentation
  • Confident IT skills proficient with Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience using CMMS systems (preferred)
  • Previous experience in a production or engineering environment (FMCG experience desirable)
  • A proactive, can‑do approach and commitment to continuous improvement
