The role

As a Maintenance Planner, you’ll be at the heart of our Facilities Maintenance team, driving operational efficiency and ensuring our services meet the highest standards of compliance and performance. This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to make a real impact - supporting national defence and engineering excellence while growing your own career in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.

Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • Coordinating planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the department
  • Managing and registering new assets in IFS, and overseeing all existing PM actions
  • Maintaining a high level of service and customer care
  • Producing planning KPIs to support effective management of the planning function
  • Reviewing work packages to embed key planning principles

You’ll work 36 hours per week, based on-site at Rosyth. Set working times apply. Travel to other Babcock and customer sites may be expected.

Essential experience of the Maintenance Planner
  • Facilities management experience in a large industrial environment
  • Familiarity with SFG20 maintenance specifications
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and best practices
  • Ability to provide information for accreditation and compliance
Qualifications for the Maintenance Planner
  • Preferably qualified in NC in Engineering or Facilities Management
  • IOSH qualification or equivalent
  • IWFM Level 4 qualification or willingness to undertake training.
