Job summary

A facilities management company is seeking a Facilities Operative to support a busy estates team in Bristol. The role involves performing minor decorative repairs, basic plumbing, and straightforward electrical duties. The ideal candidate will have hands-on maintenance experience and must be comfortable working independently across two fixed sites. Immediate start available for the right candidate. Competitive pay at £15–£16 per hour.

Facilities Operative

Location: Bristol (Two fixed sites)

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm (40 hours per week)

Rate: £15–£16 per hour PAYE

We are recruiting for a Facilities Operative to support a busy estates team on a 3 month basis. This role focuses mainly on minor decorative repairs and making‑good tasks, with some basic plumbing and straightforward electrical duties such as replacing lamps or switches.

You’ll be based across two local sites, working a full day at one location at a time (no mid‑day site swaps).

Key Responsibilities

• Minor decorating and patch repair work
• Basic plumbing tasks
• Simple electrical work (e.g., lamp/switch changes)
• Supporting the on‑site estates team as required

Requirements

• Previous hands‑on maintenance/repairs experience
• Comfortable working independently across two fixed sites
• Own vehicle
• Ability to pass a Standard DBS check
• No specific mechanical or electrical bias needed
