Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Operations Team Leader, you will be responsible for maintaining safety, quality, and production by operating machinery and mechanical equipment. You will serve as a subject matter expert, supporting process improvements, coaching, mentoring, and training team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical malfunctions using testing instruments.
  • Operate production machines safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect products for faults and record quality data.
  • Adjust and repair equipment to meet safety and quality standards.
  • Mentor and train team members in problem-solving.
  • Oversee process points to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Report on safety, production, and quality metrics.
  • Assist with trial runs, defect sorting, and machine breakdowns.
  • Participate in equipment installation and plant projects.
  • Support emergency callouts and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Operate forklifts and production lines as needed.
  • Understand and adhere to food safety and GMP standards.
Qualifications and Experience
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.; technical certification preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude; aptitude testing required.
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing preferred.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Problem-solving and measurement skills.
  • Ability to work various shifts, including overtime.
Compensation

Starting pay range: $30.55 - $31.43 per hour

Physical Demands

The role requires standing, walking, lifting up to 75 pounds, and working in noisy, temperature-variable environments with protective gear.

Work Environment

Manufacturing setting with noise, fumes, dust, and odors, requiring PPE such as hearing protection.
