Job description

Maintenance Manager - Canary Wharf - Landmark building - up to 60k

The role will be based in a high-end residential building, leading a team of four engineers. The development includes a variety of apartment types, retail units, and shared amenity spaces for residents. The successful candidate will have previous experience leading a team and working in a high-end residential environment.

Facilities are first class, with residents benefiting from access to a 24 hour concierge, state of the art gymnasium, pool and spa facilities, residents sky lounge and bar, plus meeting spaces.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday - 08:00am to 17:00pm

Key Duties:

  • Organise and manage all planned and reactive maintenance
  • Lead a team of multi-skilled engineers (4 direct reports)
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed and documentation meets required standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of plant rooms
  • Oversee reactive maintenance to ensure it aligns with contractual obligations
  • Manage and deliver minor improvement works
  • Attend and contribute to client meetings
  • Coordinate and manage external contractors
  • Primarily off the tools, but able to step in when operationally required

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified to recognised electrical or mechanical standard (HNC, HNC C&G)
  • Strong Admin and IT Skills
  • Previous experience of supervising and running a high end residential building
  • Knowledge of working with a budget and knowing how to manage costs
  • Previous experience of planned and reactive maintenance
  • Experience of working in a building services environment
