Overview

Maintenance Engineer - Multiskilled – Deeside, UK | Food & Drink FMCG

Salary: Up to £50,500 + Overtime (x1.5). 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern (7am-7pm / 7pm-7am).

We're on the lookout for an experienced, enthusiastic, and hands-on Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to support our busy engineering department. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a wide range of industrial machinery while playing a key role in projects, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives across our factory.

Responsibilities
  • Carrying out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical machinery.
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults quickly to minimise downtime.
  • Setting up and adjusting machines, resolving production issues, and suggesting modifications.
  • Supporting production teams and collaborating across all functions.
  • Supervising contractors and advising colleagues on technical matters.
  • Ensuring all work complies with company safety procedures and health & safety legislation.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience within a Food & Drink FMCG environment.
  • A time-served electrical/mechanical apprenticeship (Level 3).
  • Strong knowledge of PLC fault-finding and computer-controlled systems.
  • Skilled in electrical, electronic, and mechanical fault-finding.
  • A proactive self-starter who can work independently but also thrives in a team.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with excellent communication skills from shop floor to senior management.
