Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)

Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £57,307.50 (inclusive of 35% shift allowance)
Shift Pattern: 3 on / 3 off (Days & Nights rotation)
Hours: 40.25 hours per week

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join a forward-thinking, highly automated manufacturing facility. You ll be part of a skilled and motivated engineering team, working in a fast-paced production environment on a variety of automated lines and machinery.

This role offers excellent prospects for development the business has strong growth plans over the next few years, creating opportunities for progression in both technical and leadership routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned, reactive, and preventative maintenance to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Diagnose and repair breakdowns efficiently across a range of automated production lines.
  • Support continuous improvement and reliability projects to enhance performance and reduce waste.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and contribute to long‑term engineering solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with production teams to optimise line performance and achieve KPIs.
  • Participate in operator training and shift handovers, ensuring effective communication across teams.
  • Accurately complete maintenance documentation and support site safety and hygiene standards.
Key Requirements
  • Apprentice-trained or Level 3 equivalent in Electrical Engineering (City & Guilds or similar).
  • Strong electrical bias (approx. 70/30) with mechanical competency.
  • Background in fast‑paced, automated manufacturing or process environments.
  • Experience with SCADA, CMMS, and PLC fault‑finding (Allen Bradley / Siemens S7).
  • Knowledge of SMED, continuous improvement, or reliability engineering principles.
  • Proactive, motivated, and eager to develop technically and professionally.
