About you

• Proven experience in a maintenance engineer, ideally within a factory environment, however, all applicants will be considered.
• A recognised Level 3 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience working on both planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Experience working within a fast‑paced environment would be beneficial.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Proactive in improving equipment performance and reducing downtime.

About the Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving a range of automated systems, including Auto Stores, conveyors, shuttle systems, packaging lines, carton erectors, auto baggers, and cross‑belt sorters.

Electrical Responsibilities

• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic ability.
• Experience with three‑phase systems, control panels, sensors, relays, contactors, and E‑stops.
• Confident using multi‑meters to identify and resolve electrical issues.

Mechanical Responsibilities

• Carrying out strip‑downs, rebuilds, and like‑for‑like replacements.
• Repairing belts, gearboxes, bearings, pulleys, and chain systems.
• Working mainly with pneumatics, with some hydraulic systems.

PPM & Improvement

• Performing planned maintenance using the Agility CMMS system.
• Completing checks, lubrication, testing, and rebuilds.
• Supporting the Reliability Manager and contributing to Continuous Improvement (CI) projects.
