Overview

My client, a successful manufacturing business based close to Magherafelt, is recruiting an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking for the opportunity to join a growing Company who values and rewards employee contribution. With a strong Mechanical background you will be capable of resolving planned and unplanned maintenance tasks to drive efficiency and minimise downtime. This role has no shifts.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine and unplanned maintenance work and respond to equipment faults;
  • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and machinery and arrange procurement of fixtures, fittings and components as required;
  • Conduct quality inspections on jobs;
  • Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment;
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs;
  • Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs;
  • Work closely with Senior Management to improve health and safety policies and procedures;
  • Work as part of a team to ensure the continuous flow of production and operations;
Requirements
  • A Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Time served in either discipline;
  • A minimum of 3 years hands-on experience as a Maintenance Engineer working with either Electrical, Mechanical and Pneumatics machinery;
  • Able to read electrical drawings;
  • Knowledge of CNC, PC and PLC controlled systems;
  • Capable of working on own initiative and unsupervised with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks;
  • Excellent team player who is flexible to work additional hours to meet the needs of the business
