The business is a global manufacturer and supplier of high‑quality products for the aerospace and defence sectors, with sites across the world. It operates the biggest aerospace manufacturing group in the world, with a site stretching over 200,000 sq feet, and is part of the Midlands Aerospace Alliance.

Responsibilities
  • Provide electrical & mechanical maintenance to CNC, manual, and automated machinery, and any other ancillary plant
  • Perform reactive breakdown maintenance, reducing machine downtimes to a minimum
  • Conduct electrical repairs to motors, control panels, wiring, relays, contactors, switches and bulbs
  • Diagnose PLC faults and interrogate systems
  • Ensure adequate spares are available to support maintenance plans
  • Comply with legal requirements and work within company health and safety guidelines
  • Support the maintenance manager by facilitating the in‑house CMMS
Qualifications
  • Multi‑skilled engineer, shift maintenance engineer, electrical engineer, machine technician experience
  • Ability to fault‑find and interrogate PLCs
  • Understanding and interpretation of electrical drawings and schematics
  • Strong background in CNC machine maintenance and servicing
Working Hours

37 hours per week rotating: Morning, Afternoon & Night shifts, Monday to Friday (Every Friday is a 5‑hour shift finish).

  • Morning – 05:00 to 13:45 (Mon‑Thu); 05:45 to 10:45 (Fri)
  • Afternoon – 13:45 to 21:45 (Mon‑Thu); 10:45 to 15:45 (Fri)
  • Nights – 21:45 to 05:45 (Mon‑Thu); 15:45 to 20:45 (Fri)
