Intro

We're seeking an experienced Electrical Technician / Industrial Electrician to join a leading renewable energy facility in the Cowdenbeath area. This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career within the growing biomass and renewable power sector.

The Role

As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the plant's electrical systems.

  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical assets including HV/LV equipment, motors, generators, pumps, PLCs, and associated systems
  • Fault‑finding and troubleshooting to reduce downtime and maintain plant availability
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to maximise performance and efficiency
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
About You
  • Time‑served apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering plus relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, or equivalent)
  • Experience within power generation, heavy industrial, or similar engineering environments
  • Strong hands‑on experience with motors, drives, switchgear, pumps, and electrical fault‑finding
  • Basic mechanical understanding is beneficial
  • Proactive, solutions‑focused, and safety‑conscious
