Job summary

A well-established engineering company in Ashton Keynes is seeking a Skilled Engineering Machinist / CNC Engineer. You will work on 3, 4 & 5 axis bed mills and make bespoke components primarily from non-ferrous materials. Previous experience in a similar role is essential, and the ability to operate various conventional machine tools would be beneficial. Join a friendly, family-run business with over 36 years of experience in the industry. Competitive salary of up to £35,000 per annum pro rata offered.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar Skilled Machinist role.
  • Experience of using 3 axis SMX & DPM bed mills using Proto Track AGE 3 & SMX0 controls.
  • Experience on 4 & 5 Brother Machining Centres is highly desirable.
  • Ability to make turned parts on conventional lathes is an advantage.
  • Ability to operate conventional machine tools such as pillar drills and surface grinders is beneficial.
  • Ability to work accurately with good attention to detail.

Skilled Engineering Machinist / CNC Engineer

with experience of making components, generally in non-ferrous materials is required for a well-established engineering company based in Ashton Keynes, Swindon.

SALARY :

up to £35,000 per annum pro rata (subject to experience)

LOCATION :

Ashton Keynes, Swindon, Wiltshire (SN6) -

Travelling to the site will always be against the traffic

JOB TYPE : Full-Time OR

Part-Time, Permanent

NO Shifts

WORKING HOURS : Full-Time,

Monday to Thursday

8.00am - 17.00pm, Fridays till 2pm

Part-Time, 3 days per week

Job Overview

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Skilled Engineering Machinist / CNC Engineer with experience of making components, generally in non-ferrous materials.

The company design and manufacture special purpose machines, mechanisms and components for a range of industries including defence, medical, electronics and food production.

As the Skilled Engineering Machinist / CNC Engineer you will join a small team making components on 3, 4 & 5 axis bed mills with conversational programming.

Working as the Skilled Engineering Machinist / CNC Engineer you will also have the ability to make turned parts on conventional lathes in addition to operating other conventional machine tools, such as pillar drills and surface grinders would be an advantage.

As the company make bespoke parts for machines the work can be very different, non-repetitive and interesting.

As a successful candidate you will join a very friendly family run business trading successfully for 36 years.

Travelling is normally against the traffic going to Swindon & Cheltenham areas. Parking is on own farm site.

Candidate Requirements

As the Skilled Engineering Machinist / CNC Engineer you will have :

  • Previous experience in a similar Skilled Machinist role
