Overview

Machine Operator
Location: Near Evesham
Hours: Minimum 32 hours per week (over 4 days), 7am - 8 pm
Pay: £12.75 per hour (up to 40 hours per week)
£18.29 per hour (after 40 hours per week)
Reports to: Team Leader
Direct Reports: None
About the Role
We're looking for a reliable and proactive Machine Operator to join our team at Orchard Farm. You'll play a key role in ensuring our packing lines run smoothly and efficiently, helping us deliver high-quality produce every day.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor production lines, including Pro Seal, BBC Blueberry Grader, Unitec Grader, and robotic systems.
  • Carry out start- and end-of-shift checks to ensure all equipment is in safe working order.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health, and safety at all times.
  • Set up and change packaging materials as required, returning any unused materials after each run.
  • Perform tool changeovers and work with the maintenance team to minimize downtime.
  • Support continuous improvement by suggesting and implementing process enhancements.
  • Help the team achieve production KPIs.
  • Ensure production lines are cleaned and closed down properly at the end of each shift.
  • Take part in general packhouse operations and other related duties as needed.

  • Previous experience in a production or food manufacturing environment (preferred but not essential).
