Job description

Are you a skilled Machine Operative looking for a new opportunity with career growth potential? Do you take pride in producing high-quality work and want to be part of a supportive, dynamic team? If so, we want to hear from you!

Location: Dover, Kent, England
Pay: £12.50 per hour (Increasing as of 1st April!)
Type: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:30 am - 4:30 pm (3-day weekends!)

Our client specialises in delivering top-quality materials for production, and you'll play a key role in ensuring the production lines run smoothly while maintaining high standards.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Set up and operate key production machinery, including die-cutting, case covering, and lining.
  • Work collaboratively with production teams to meet daily targets.
  • Ensure high-quality output while keeping waste to a minimum.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and quick repairs to keep production running efficiently.
  • Use company systems to track stock levels and follow product specifications.
  • Identify and implement improvements to optimise performance.
  • Maintain a safe and clean workspace.
  • Assist in new product testing and trials.
  • Train and support team members, sharing best practices.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience with auto die-cutting machines and Emmeci liner (or willingness to learn).
  • Strong mechanical skills with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Basic numeracy and computer skills.
  • A team player who can also work independently.
  • Organised, reliable, and proactive with a can-do attitude.
  • A commitment to quality, efficiency, and safety.
