A leading international law firm is seeking an M&A/Private Equity Paralegal for an initial 12-month contract in London. The ideal candidate will assist in drafting transaction documentation and support deal execution while maintaining transaction tools. A strong background in Corporate M&A/PE or Banking & Finance from a top City law firm is essential. Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle both complex legal tasks and administrative duties are required. Competitive compensation is offered.

Job description

I’ve partnered with a leading international law firm that’s looking for an M&A/Private Equity Paralegal on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract, with strong potential for extension.

You’ll join a highly regarded team, ranked on top legal directories, and support the practice across a broad range of transactions – from lower mid-market deals to premium M&A and PE work.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and organising transaction documentation, including NDAs, SPAs, disclosure schedules, SHAs, management incentive plans, corporate approvals, and ancillary agreements.
  • Support deal execution by managing signing and closing checklists, collating signature pages, and preparing closing sets/bibles.
  • Maintain and update key transaction tools, such as trackers, cap tables, data rooms, and other client or internal workflow systems.
  • Conduct legal and market research to assist Associates with transaction-related matters.
Job Specifications
Must Have
  • Corporate M&A/PE experience, or a broader transactional background (e.g., Banking & Finance) from a top City law firm.
  • University degree at grade 2:1 or above, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to tackle administrative tasks as well as more complex legal work.
