Role: Lunch Site Support; Location: Wessex Lodge School, Frome, Somerset BA11 4LA; Salary: £13.25 per hour; Hours: From 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Rota TBC; Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only; Driving: Full UK Driving Licence required; Start: November 2025; Age Requirement: Over 18’s only due to lone working

About the Role

As part of our continued growth, we are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Lunch Site Support Assistant to join our close-knit team at Wessex Lodge School.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve breakfast, breaktime, and lunchtime meals to pupils and staff
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas
  • Manage stock, place food orders, and monitor supplies
  • Comply with Health & Safety, food safety, and hygiene legislation
  • Support pupil care by being aware of allergies and following safeguarding procedures
  • Undertake additional cleaning tasks to maintain overall standards
  • Assist in minor first aid incidents under the guidance of the registered first aider
  • Contribute positively to the school environment as part of the team
Person Specification
  • Knowledge of food safety, COSHH, and cleaning best practices

Wessex Lodge School comprises three sites: Wessex Lodge Primary School in Kilmington, Wessex Lodge Secondary School in Frome, and Newmead Farm in Maiden Bradley. All sites offer students a range of subject paths, including animal care, horticulture, DT, forest school, and various sporting activities.
