A leading food service provider is seeking a Lunch Site Assistant in Greater London to maintain high standards of food preparation and hygiene. This role involves preparing and serving meals to pupils and staff, managing stock, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of food safety, be flexible, reliable, and able to build positive relationships with students. Training will be provided as needed and the role requires physical capability for manual tasks.

Lunch Site Assistant

As the Lunch Site Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of food preparation, hygiene, and care, ensuring pupils and staff enjoy safe, nutritious meals in a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve breakfast, breaktime, and lunchtime meals to pupils and staff
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas
  • Manage stock, place food orders, and monitor supplies
  • Comply with Health & Safety, food safety, and hygiene legislation
  • Support pupil care by being aware of allergies and following safeguarding procedures
  • Undertake additional cleaning tasks to maintain overall standards
  • Assist in minor first aid incidents under the guidance of the registered first aider
